ARTIST Gabriele Roberto

1972年イタリア・クネオ生まれ。　作曲家・アレンジャー イタリアで作曲科ディプロマを取得後、ロンドンの英国王立音楽院（Royal College of Music）にて作曲科の学位を取得。同音楽院在学中、王立音楽院で開催された作曲コンペティションにて優勝する。 2005年にはアカデミー賞獲得監督であるガブリエル・サルヴァトーレの最新映画 “Quo vadis, Baby” の音楽で作曲のアシスタントを務めるなど、イタリアにて映画の音楽の作曲アシスタントやオーケストレーターとして活動を始める。同年11月来日、映画「嫌われ松子の一生」オーケストラ・サウンドトラックを担当。2007年の第30回 日本アカデミー賞ではその「嫌われ松子の一生」で、渋谷毅氏と共に最優秀音楽賞を受賞。 以降もCM音楽をはじめ、2008年映画「パコと魔法の絵本」、2010年の映画「BECK」や「告白」 TVドラマ・映画「SPEC」シリーズ、2013年「脳男」、2014年「渇き。」、２０１６年TVドラマ「ナオミとカナコ」、映画「ヒーローマニア」、「真田十勇士」など作曲編曲で活躍中。 2015年12月にはトランペット協奏曲《Tokyo Suite》が日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団によって世界初演され、活動の幅を広げている。

Gabriele Roberto [Born in 1972] is an Italian music composer, arranger. He works for Television commercials, and Movies, etc. In 2001 he completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Composition at the Royal College of music in London studying with Joseph Horovitz. During his studies he won the “Major Van Someone Godfery Memorial Prize”, Composition 
competition published by the Royal College. Since November 2005 Gabriele begins to work for GrandFunk Inc. He scored the orchestral soundtrack for the movie “Memories of Matsuko” by Director Tetsuya Nakashima and as a result to this he won the Japan Academy Prize 2007. After that, he has been writing for Yukihiko Tsutsumi Movies “BECK”, “SPEC”, and Tomoyuki Takimoto Movie “No-Otoko.” The colloboration with Director Nakashima has been extended to the his movies entitled “Paco and the Magical Picture Book” and “Confession” to “The World of Kanako.” In 2016, he scored for TV drama “Naomi and Kanako,” and Movies “Hero Mania” “Sanada 10 Braves.” Japan Philharmonic orchestra features the world premiere of His Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra “Tokyo Suite.”
